Makeup Revolution I Heart Makeup Golden Bar Palette

I am sure you know by now that I am addicted to the I Heart Makeup Chocolate palettes from Makeup Revolution, so when the Golden Bar Palette was released, I knew it would eventually be mine.


The gold overlay on the chocolate makes this my favourite packaging out of the I Heart Makeup eye shadow palettes on offer.

Now for some swatches.



I love the rich neutral shades. So easy to wear. They are pigmented and apply beautifully. What I don't like is that there is not one matte shade, which I find unusual for these palettes. By no means do I think that it's a bad palette. Goodness knows I have plenty of palettes to use mattes from to finish an eye look. It's just inconvenient.

    Brilliant swatches, gorgeous eye looks - you're a pleasure to behold, and read Indie. I've absolutely loved all your makeup posts since you came back to blogging (thankfully!), and this one has sold me on this palette - the pigmentation is astounding and the colours are so rich and perfect for Autumn/Winter ♥♥♥

I have bought from the brand BYS in the past, but I can't say I've actually sought out anything from them. Well, that was until I saw swatches popping up on my Instagram feed of the Berries palette.  It's a 12 pan palette and has a similar vibe going on to the much loved and raved about ABH Modern Renaissance palette. BH Cosmetics Carli Bybel Deluxe Palette and Giveaway

When BH Cosmetics released the original Carli Bybel palette I was tossing up whether I was going to purchase it or not. Sure, it was pretty with lovely neutral shades, but I was trying to cut down my eye shadow palette buying to only palettes that I really, really had to have and I wasn't convinced that was the case. When the Carli Bybel Deluxe version was released containing 15 shadows and 6 highlighters as opposed to the original which had 10 eye shadows and 3 highlighters, I had to have it. I went as far as pre-ordering the palette before it was even released. The sneak peek swatches had won me over!
