MAC Mineralize Concealer

MAC is such a popular brand, certainly loved in the beauty world. You can imagine my excitement when I received a MAC product in a prize that I had won on Beauty Heaven.

MAC Mineralize Concealer
MAC Mineralize Concealer has been formulated with minerals to give a creamy finish that is easy to blend and hydrating to the skin. It comes in a 5ml tube, that is compact, so great for storage and travel.

The product is beautifully creamy without being thick.

I found that best coverage for me was achieved by applying using the brush, then using a clean concealer brush to blend. I found this to be a better finish compared to blending with my fingers, which seemed to decrease the coverage.

MAC Mineralize Concealer applied under eyes

Although this concealer did a decent job of covering blemishes, the winner for me is concealing my terribly dark under eye circles. I just loved how the concealer blended beautifully over my under eye area. The creamy consistency did not appear to settle into lines. This area of my face is dry compared to the rest, so the hydrating formula is perfect, it seemed to give this darker area a lightening effect, due to the dewy finish. It still looked hydrated, even with a dusting of powder over top. The powder prevents this concealer from going any where.

I can see why MAC Mineralize Concealer is so well loved. It certainly is a lovely product. Personally, with MAC's prices, I believe that I can find just as good a product for a cheaper price...I'll let you know ;)

What's your go-to concealer?

  1. Oh wow the finish of this concealer looks fantastic. Most concealers I've tried have dried under my eyes in the most unflattering way. Currently I'm using the Maybelline Age Rewind concealer which I've heard tonnes of rave reviews but I'm not entriely convinced with it. I feel the consistency is way too thin and not doesnt really cover my dark circles. I need to try the Mac concealer one day.

    1. Well, that's interesting, because after the wonderful things I'd heard, Age Rewind was going to be my next purchase. My search will continue..or maybe I should just stick to what I know works. Thanks for your comment, Wendy xx

    1. It is quite good, I've never really developed a love for MAC, not sure why, because I've heard such great things.

  3. This concealer looks right up my ally! I love moisturising concealers since my under eye area is quite dry, and the finish of this looks lovely! Also, I'm loving your purple eyeliner, it really makes your brown eyes stand out!

    1. Oh yes, my under eye area is quite dry also. That purple liner is from Mirenesse. I will be reviewing it soon. Thanks hun xx

  4. Hey Indie, I received this in my Blogstar box of goodies - I love the texture but the colour I have isn't quite right, easily solved though :-) I've never gotten into MAC products either - I can't live without the matte Omega shadow I used for my contouring, but that's about it ♥

    1. I somehow ended up with a MAC palette, but I'm not sure it's even genuine. There's so many wonderful cheaper brands, isn't there? :)
