L'Oreal Revitalift Laser x 3 Day Cream

I was fortunate enough to be sent L'Oreal Revitalift Laser x 3 Day Cream to trial for beauty website Beauty Heaven.

Taken from the L'Oreal Paris website- "The soft ultra-velevety texture provides in-depth anti ageing by correcting wrinkles, redensifying the skin and re-supporting contours."

The squared off packaging looks rather classy. I really like the look of the deep red glass jar with chrome lid. It contains 50 ml of product.

The consistency is rich, yet not too thick.

Although a jar is an easy way to access product, with all the exposure to the air, I wonder just how long the moisturiser stays stable. It has an impressive ingredient list, but that's not much good if the efficacy of the product does not stay in tact.

That out of the way, I'll mention another thing that I'm not overly keen on, and that is the strong fragrance. It's not terrible, but it's a synthetic floral scent. Maybe I'm just used to the natural products that I've been using for some time. In saying that, it doesn't last for long, it disappears as it is absorbed by the skin.

The product itself feels so luxe as I apply it to my skin. It just glides smoothly. As instructed, I apply the required amount to the top of my hand, then use my fingers to dab product to my face, then massage. Apparently, rubbing between the palms effects the product negatively (yet its packaged in a jar?)

Even though the moisturiser is quite rich, it absorbs into my combination skin so quickly. After application I can't help but touch the smooth, velvety feel of my face. It is so hydrating, but there is no sticky residue.

No need to wait before I apply my sunscreen, which is a necessary step in my skincare routine, because this day cream does not contain any SPF. I much prefer that, as I have now switched to using a physical sunscreen, rather than the more common chemical sunscreens.

The drier parts of my face have not been feeling so tight by the end of the day after using this cream. I have not experienced any breakouts, either. I don't have a lot of wrinkles, but my forehead appears less dehydrated and the onset of crepiness seems to have diminished.

Laser in a bottle? I'm not so sure, but a decent moisturiser I can attest to.

  3. Hello! Im afraid Im with you- so many loreal products are super scented- its a shame because they feel nice on, but are not worth the headache :( great review, as always xo

    1. I'm so not a fan of heavily fragranced products, I don't like the thought of it going on my face, to be honest.

  4. The consistency looks lovely, but yeah, I'd be wary of the jar packaging too. Great review :)

    1. Thanks Di. I really don't understand jar packaging for moisturisers with active ingredients
