Mon Ennui "Birthday Girl"

The beautiful blue eye shadow "Birthday Girl" is part of my "products for use" tub. A small pink tub that I store in the bathroom (where I apply my makeup). It contains the products that I use most days, mainly so I can concentrate on products to use up. I usually include a few eye shadow samples.
 This particular Mon Ennui eye shadow is no longer available, unfortunately. Luckily, it's an easy shade to dupe :)

For this EOTD, I also used:
88 Warm palette
YBF Automatic Brow Pencil



 A couple of days later, I used the same eye shadow again, but not all over the lid, just to change things up a bit, I'll show you.


 I think the little pop of blue on the outer lid worked quite well paired with the chrome shadow from the 88 Warm palette.
I love wearing colour on my lids, but it's also nice to just have a "pop" of colour.

BYS Berries Palette

I have bought from the brand BYS in the past, but I can't say I've actually sought out anything from them. Well, that was until I saw swatches popping up on my Instagram feed of the Berries palette.  It's a 12 pan palette and has a similar vibe going on to the much loved and raved about ABH Modern Renaissance palette. Of course, I do not own the pricier ABH palette, but I just had to have the Berries palette. Taken from BYS - "BYS Berries Eye Shadow Palette features an array of 12 expertly chosen, highly pigmented matte and metallic eye shadows. The 12 piece palette comes housed in a modern, embossed tin. featuring a mirror and 2 dual end applicators." The tin packaging of this palette is really cute, it reminds me of the Naked 2 and 3 palettes. It is a little bulky, but I like it. BH Cosmetics Carli Bybel Deluxe Palette and Giveaway

When BH Cosmetics released the original Carli Bybel palette I was tossing up whether I was going to purchase it or not. Sure, it was pretty with lovely neutral shades, but I was trying to cut down my eye shadow palette buying to only palettes that I really, really had to have and I wasn't convinced that was the case. When the Carli Bybel Deluxe version was released containing 15 shadows and 6 highlighters as opposed to the original which had 10 eye shadows and 3 highlighters, I had to have it. I went as far as pre-ordering the palette before it was even released. The sneak peek swatches had won me over!
