Makeup Revolution Lipsticks

Makeup Revolution is aptly named. They have really shaken up the beauty community with budget products and some pretty obvious dupes, more on that another day. This UK online store had me at "budget prices".

 When I made a decent sized order with Makeup Revolution, I included some lipsticks. Now, I've been on a red lipstick craze of late, so if you're not keen on this colour, I apologize because this post will be very disappointing for you...
Slick black tubes, with a helpful addition of the lipstick in clear plastic on the bottom. (can't seem to get into it, though)






Atomic Ruby. The "Atomic" range is brighter and more intense in colour.




 A little pink intermission with Dazzle. 




Dare



Rebel With A Cause. I can't compare, but this shade is said to be a dupe of MAC Rebel.

These lipsticks are creamy and feel nice on the lips. With the exception of "Rebel With A Cause", (I did find it applied a little patchy) the lipsticks applied beautifully. About Aus $3, I'd say a great deal!
 "Now, why did she get 2 glosses the same?" Well, one is a matte :)






The Intense Lip Lacquer has a lovely glossy finish, easy to apply with the doe foot wand. Also with the same packaging is the Velvet Lip Lacquer. This one is my fave! It dries to a velvety matte finish. It does feel slightly dry on the lips, but I don't find it uncomfortable. Obviously, it will last a lot longer than the gloss.

Well, that comes to the end of this post. You are probably all "red-ed" out by now!

    That definitely looks matte on the lips, not so much the swatch. I love the look of those lippies! Very smooth and pretty.

      I think what happened with the swatch is I had not left it to "dry" before taking the photo. It is really nice, I'm liking mattes above glosses lately :)

    I really want to make a Makeup Revollution order soon! These lipsticks look really nice and pigmented, and so affordable :)
    The salvation intense Lip Lacquer "A Love Like That" was my favourite pick. It looks great on you.

    They seem really nice (especially considering the price) and look great on you. I was never really that interested in getting MUR products but after seeing those I may give them a go.

    I have always been obsessed with pinks when it comes to lippies. Baby pink, hot pink, inbetween pink, whatever! Loving the reds on your though, they really suit you! :D xx

BYS Berries Palette

I have bought from the brand BYS in the past, but I can't say I've actually sought out anything from them. Well, that was until I saw swatches popping up on my Instagram feed of the Berries palette.  It's a 12 pan palette and has a similar vibe going on to the much loved and raved about ABH Modern Renaissance palette. Of course, I do not own the pricier ABH palette, but I just had to have the Berries palette. Taken from BYS - "BYS Berries Eye Shadow Palette features an array of 12 expertly chosen, highly pigmented matte and metallic eye shadows. The 12 piece palette comes housed in a modern, embossed tin. featuring a mirror and 2 dual end applicators." The tin packaging of this palette is really cute, it reminds me of the Naked 2 and 3 palettes. It is a little bulky, but I like it. BH Cosmetics Carli Bybel Deluxe Palette and Giveaway

When BH Cosmetics released the original Carli Bybel palette I was tossing up whether I was going to purchase it or not. Sure, it was pretty with lovely neutral shades, but I was trying to cut down my eye shadow palette buying to only palettes that I really, really had to have and I wasn't convinced that was the case. When the Carli Bybel Deluxe version was released containing 15 shadows and 6 highlighters as opposed to the original which had 10 eye shadows and 3 highlighters, I had to have it. I went as far as pre-ordering the palette before it was even released. The sneak peek swatches had won me over!
