Rihanna "Rebelle"

Out of the Rihanna perfume trio, "Rebelle", Reb'l Fleur and "Nude", I like "Rebelle" best.

Description- "...a fruity floral with strong gourmand chords. Top notes encompass plum, strawberry and ginger, a heart offers heliotrope, vanilla orchid and cocoa absolute, while a base features a trail of musk, coffee, patchouli and amber."

 This perfume makes for a great Autumn/Winter fragrance. The fruits are more of the heavier kind, with plum being a forerunner. It does have a rich mocha gourmand side, but I find it works to compliment the dark notes of patchouli, amber and musk, sweet, but not at all cloying.

 The base notes combined with the spice of ginger gives an oriental feel to this perfume.

 The drydown is my favourite stage. The perfume at this point is sensual with the musk, and remains so rich throughout.

BYS Berries Palette

I have bought from the brand BYS in the past, but I can't say I've actually sought out anything from them. Well, that was until I saw swatches popping up on my Instagram feed of the Berries palette.  It's a 12 pan palette and has a similar vibe going on to the much loved and raved about ABH Modern Renaissance palette. Of course, I do not own the pricier ABH palette, but I just had to have the Berries palette. Taken from BYS - "BYS Berries Eye Shadow Palette features an array of 12 expertly chosen, highly pigmented matte and metallic eye shadows. The 12 piece palette comes housed in a modern, embossed tin. featuring a mirror and 2 dual end applicators." The tin packaging of this palette is really cute, it reminds me of the Naked 2 and 3 palettes. It is a little bulky, but I like it. BH Cosmetics Carli Bybel Deluxe Palette and Giveaway

When BH Cosmetics released the original Carli Bybel palette I was tossing up whether I was going to purchase it or not. Sure, it was pretty with lovely neutral shades, but I was trying to cut down my eye shadow palette buying to only palettes that I really, really had to have and I wasn't convinced that was the case. When the Carli Bybel Deluxe version was released containing 15 shadows and 6 highlighters as opposed to the original which had 10 eye shadows and 3 highlighters, I had to have it. I went as far as pre-ordering the palette before it was even released. The sneak peek swatches had won me over!
