Simple NOTD Sunday- Mirenesse Bullet Proof Nail Lacquer "First Rose"

You've probably noticed that when it comes to nail polish, I normally gravitate towards bright or deep colours. Well, today I have something that's a quite muted shade.
"First Rose" is a pale shell pink, in a creme finish. 

 My nails aren't in the best condition, which is even more obvious when using an unforgiving creme polish. 

 I found this polish to be a little streaky. I used 2 coats for this mani, and probably could have used another for a more even result. 

 I must say that I rather like this shade. 

 It's nice to have a change from the norm sometimes, isn't it? :)

    Oh I do love that colour - I like colours like that. I know what you mean about being streaky, I have some nail polish here that does that.
    As to your nails......they look great to me....longer than mine at the moment :-/

      Thank you, Mandy. I can't seem to get my nails to grow any longer than this. They are so brittle, because I am guilty of picking at my nails, and at chipped polish. Naughty! LOL.

    That is a beautiful shade on you! I find that when I go for lighter colours, it gets a little streaky.

BYS Berries Palette

I have bought from the brand BYS in the past, but I can't say I've actually sought out anything from them. Well, that was until I saw swatches popping up on my Instagram feed of the Berries palette.  It's a 12 pan palette and has a similar vibe going on to the much loved and raved about ABH Modern Renaissance palette. Of course, I do not own the pricier ABH palette, but I just had to have the Berries palette. Taken from BYS - "BYS Berries Eye Shadow Palette features an array of 12 expertly chosen, highly pigmented matte and metallic eye shadows. The 12 piece palette comes housed in a modern, embossed tin. featuring a mirror and 2 dual end applicators." The tin packaging of this palette is really cute, it reminds me of the Naked 2 and 3 palettes. It is a little bulky, but I like it. BH Cosmetics Carli Bybel Deluxe Palette and Giveaway

When BH Cosmetics released the original Carli Bybel palette I was tossing up whether I was going to purchase it or not. Sure, it was pretty with lovely neutral shades, but I was trying to cut down my eye shadow palette buying to only palettes that I really, really had to have and I wasn't convinced that was the case. When the Carli Bybel Deluxe version was released containing 15 shadows and 6 highlighters as opposed to the original which had 10 eye shadows and 3 highlighters, I had to have it.
