Frozen Nails

What began as a "tribute" to Winter. I hate this weather, but I was feeling like ice and wanted to represent how I felt on my nails. Once I had the finished result, Frozen immediately sprang to mind, not the song, thankfully..well, until now. Do you now hear it too? "Let it go, let it goooooo.." Sorry...

 Back to my nails.
Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "White On", Boe Beauty "Blue Illusion" and a sparkly topper from the brand Satin.

The obvious choice for my nail look was blue and white. I began with a white base, then sponged "Blue Illusion" onto my nails, so that some of the white was still visible . To add a little pizzazz to this look, I applied the very pretty, sparkly top coat.



Looking forward to when I can say goodbye to Winter for another year.

BYS Berries Palette

I have bought from the brand BYS in the past, but I can't say I've actually sought out anything from them. Well, that was until I saw swatches popping up on my Instagram feed of the Berries palette.  It's a 12 pan palette and has a similar vibe going on to the much loved and raved about ABH Modern Renaissance palette. Of course, I do not own the pricier ABH palette, but I just had to have the Berries palette. Taken from BYS - "BYS Berries Eye Shadow Palette features an array of 12 expertly chosen, highly pigmented matte and metallic eye shadows. The 12 piece palette comes housed in a modern, embossed tin. featuring a mirror and 2 dual end applicators." The tin packaging of this palette is really cute, it reminds me of the Naked 2 and 3 palettes. It is a little bulky, but I like it. BH Cosmetics Carli Bybel Deluxe Palette and Giveaway

When BH Cosmetics released the original Carli Bybel palette I was tossing up whether I was going to purchase it or not. Sure, it was pretty with lovely neutral shades, but I was trying to cut down my eye shadow palette buying to only palettes that I really, really had to have and I wasn't convinced that was the case. When the Carli Bybel Deluxe version was released containing 15 shadows and 6 highlighters as opposed to the original which had 10 eye shadows and 3 highlighters, I had to have it. I went as far as pre-ordering the palette before it was even released. The sneak peek swatches had won me over! Taken from BH Cosmetics - "This palette features 11 original shades plus 10 chic new shadows and highlighters in buttery blendable formulas with staying power."
