Makeup Geek Cosmetics

When it comes to eye shadows, I have a weakness for metallic shades. So, when indie online seller, Makeup Geek released the new collection "Foiled", I was on it! I was so excited that I went to the store with the intention of ordering the set. I was a little disappointed that there were none left of the complete collection, but went ahead and ordered some singles. 

 Surprisingly, I only bought 3, I think after I got over the initial excitement, I decided that I only needed to try a couple to satisfy my craving. 



 Jester- "Bright mossy green with slight gold undertones"




 Flame Thrower- "Warm copper"




Grandstand- "Neutral with a rose gold hue"

Oh, these eye shadows are just so pretty! That metallic goodness........... Here's what I created using the trio.




Now, I must stay away from the Makeup Geek website so I don't buy anymore! :)

    There was an article about rose gold eyes on bh but it only had drawings. It was a sneak peek from the Paris fashion show I think. Love it!

    Ive always wanted to try makeup geek, and these foiled shadows look especially amazing! Amazing job on the combined look, I would've never have thought to put those colours together but it turned out beautiful! x

BYS Berries Palette

I have bought from the brand BYS in the past, but I can't say I've actually sought out anything from them. Well, that was until I saw swatches popping up on my Instagram feed of the Berries palette.  It's a 12 pan palette and has a similar vibe going on to the much loved and raved about ABH Modern Renaissance palette. Of course, I do not own the pricier ABH palette, but I just had to have the Berries palette. Taken from BYS - "BYS Berries Eye Shadow Palette features an array of 12 expertly chosen, highly pigmented matte and metallic eye shadows. The 12 piece palette comes housed in a modern, embossed tin. featuring a mirror and 2 dual end applicators." The tin packaging of this palette is really cute, it reminds me of the Naked 2 and 3 palettes. It is a little bulky, but I like it. BH Cosmetics Carli Bybel Deluxe Palette and Giveaway

When BH Cosmetics released the original Carli Bybel palette I was tossing up whether I was going to purchase it or not. Sure, it was pretty with lovely neutral shades, but I was trying to cut down my eye shadow palette buying to only palettes that I really, really had to have and I wasn't convinced that was the case. When the Carli Bybel Deluxe version was released containing 15 shadows and 6 highlighters as opposed to the original which had 10 eye shadows and 3 highlighters, I had to have it. I went as far as pre-ordering the palette before it was even released. The sneak peek swatches had won me over! Taken from BH Cosmetics - "This palette features 11 original shades plus 10 chic new shadows and highlighters in buttery blendable formulas with staying power."
