Sally Hansen Satin Glam Nail Color "Taffeta"

Sally Hansen Satin Glam nail polish gives a matte finish that is slightly textured. It's easy to apply and is not streaky on the nail. Unfortunately on my nails, it's not very long-lasting. It doesn't chip so much, as just wear away from the tips. This starts happening to me within the first day of application. 
I can forgive the lack of lasting power, just look at the gorgeous colour that "Taffeta" is!

The nail polish seems to bind quite well, so that I can touch up the edges with a swipe across my tip with a tiny amount of polish on the brush. In fact, that's what I had to do to my nails for the photo above.

    This looks nicer on than I thought from looking at the bottle. I wish the range was bigger. I get the same problem with the ends wearing off, but if you can touch it up without it showing, that makes up for it.

BYS Berries Palette

I have bought from the brand BYS in the past, but I can't say I've actually sought out anything from them. Well, that was until I saw swatches popping up on my Instagram feed of the Berries palette.  It's a 12 pan palette and has a similar vibe going on to the much loved and raved about ABH Modern Renaissance palette. Of course, I do not own the pricier ABH palette, but I just had to have the Berries palette. Taken from BYS - "BYS Berries Eye Shadow Palette features an array of 12 expertly chosen, highly pigmented matte and metallic eye shadows. The 12 piece palette comes housed in a modern, embossed tin. featuring a mirror and 2 dual end applicators." The tin packaging of this palette is really cute, it reminds me of the Naked 2 and 3 palettes. It is a little bulky, but I like it. BH Cosmetics Carli Bybel Deluxe Palette and Giveaway

When BH Cosmetics released the original Carli Bybel palette I was tossing up whether I was going to purchase it or not. Sure, it was pretty with lovely neutral shades, but I was trying to cut down my eye shadow palette buying to only palettes that I really, really had to have and I wasn't convinced that was the case. When the Carli Bybel Deluxe version was released containing 15 shadows and 6 highlighters as opposed to the original which had 10 eye shadows and 3 highlighters, I had to have it.
